History
Aleppo is .63 square miles and is located about 10 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The Township was incorporated in 1876, and currently provides administrative and public works services. Aleppo's topography and mix of housing styles gives the Township a small town feel while its proximity to 1 79 and Ohio River Boulevard allow residents quick and easy access to the city and surrounding conveniences. Planning Commission
Five member commission responsible for the review of overall plans for proposed land developments and subdivisions.
Zoning Hearing Board
Three member board responsible for hearing appeals of zoning decisions, granting variances, and other determinations regarding zoning.
Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company
The Aleppo Township VFC serves both Aleppo and the neighboring Borough of Sewickley Heights. The lire station is located at 131 Weber Rood. In case of emergency, call 911. For a non-emergency, call (412) 741-FIRE (3473).
Trash/Recycling
Household trash and recycling is collected every Tuesday. Please place your containers at the curb by 7 AM the day of collection.
