Join us in-person for songs, rhymes, fingerplays, stories, and more for babies & toddlers, based off of a nationally-renowned program. For children 0-3 years old with a caregiver. Weekly registration required.

Stories for Two’s & Three’s

IT’S BACK! Visit with us for a half hour storytime session of finger plays, songs, and stories for children 30 months to 48 months (2 ½ to 4 years old), with a caregiver. Please, no older children. Weekly registration required.

Family Storytime at Ohio Township Nature Center

Sewickley Public Library is hosting a family story time in-doors at the Ohio Township Nature Center. Stories, songs and a craft-kit to go for the whole family. Weekly registration required.

Summer Reading 2022

Nature Explorers with Fern Hollow

Join the educators from Fern Hollow Nature Center for an interactive nature program based on their popular “Explorers” program. We’ll learn all about the nature that surrounds the library! Grades 1-5.

Stories in Art with Sweetwater

Sweetwater Center for the Arts and the Sewickley Public Library are teaming up this summer! We will be offering classes combining storytime and art!

Children ages 4-6, without caregiver

Toddler Dance Party

Little ones learn so much through movement! Join us to dance, jump, shake, clap & more! For children 1-3 years old with a caregiver. Please register.

Summer Craft To-Go Kits

Stop by the Children’ Department to pick up a spring themed Craft To-Go Kit! Supplies and instructions are included. These kits are geared for children in Preschool – Grade 2. Available while supplies last; first come, first served.

Tween Take and Make

Stop into the Children’s Department and ask at the desk for this month’s Take and Make Craft! Supplies and instructions are included.

Children 3rd grade and up, please.  Available while supplies last.

Chess Club

Brand new to chess and want to learn?  How about a seasoned chess master?  Come to learn, expand your knowledge, and just have fun in our Chess Club for kids in Grades 1-7. The library will provide some chess sets.

The Children’s Department of Sewickley Public Library is looking for students going into grades 7-12 to volunteer for the Summer Reading Program. This is a great opportunity to earn some volunteer hours during the most fun time of the year!
